Brooklyn Fun

After an exhausting day of looking at schools we decided William needed a break. We decided before heading out to plan a fun afternoon for him. Over the summer I had the opportunity to visit Twinkle  in Brooklyn. We visited many drop-in play venues in NYC but this was by far our favorite spot. For a first time visit, it's $25 for the day. For other visits $35 a day. They also offer memberships and birthday packages. The spot offers a crazy play area that a child could only dream of! A sandbox, water table, treehouse, pretend grocery store, salon, dress up area, disco room, slides, fire trucks, toddler roller coaster, and separate snack area.

After so much time playing we all worked up quite the appetite. The only problem with Twinkle  is that it doesn't offer meals only a snack area. Around twinkle  there are only a few family friendly restaurants. We were starving so it led us to look for something quick which ended up being the highlight of the day! William and Sebastian could live on pizza. When using Yelp, I found Carmine's  with great reviews. It was minute walk so we set off!

The pizza was so AMAZING. The offer slices or pies. A variety of other dishes, desserts, and drinks. We of course got slices and some lovely berry cheesecake! It was to die for! All in for 4 slices, 3 drinks, and cheesecake we spent $20. Clearly the cheapest meal we got & one of the best. After finding this wonderful place it has officially been designated our lunch spot after visiting Twinkle  . Although we won't make this a frequent trip this trip is great for day trip every once in awhile!
