Afternoon Adventure

While Summering in Orange County is clearly better than being in the city right now, it has been equally hot here. We've spent most afternoons in the pool. Today, I decided to give a park we hadn't been to yet a go! After searching online for new parks near I found Adventure Playground in Irvine. The pictures sold me! They showed the park having a water area, mud area, and large Legos. It was a must for us to go. We arrived around 3:45ish and the park was filled with a decent amount of people.

William took off from me as soon as we arrived. He was in heaven! Construction trucks provided for the mud + pails for water. What little boy wouldn't be excited?

I know what you're thinking, mud? I'm not going to lie although I have a boy I'm still always paranoid when he gets dirty. My advice for the park...take a deep breath and let your child play in the mud! William's little face lit up! He actually looked back at me to see if he was going to get in trouble for going into it.

Along with mud is play equipment. William loved to run with all the little boys up and down it.

Another great item: huge Legos! William wasn't quite sure how to use them at first but then spent 45 minutes building a house with other children.

My review= Worth the trip!  For me, I love parks because it's a time for William to learn to play with others & explore the outdoors! I'm realizing as I mother a little boy it's important for them to get dirty & experience nature. Though, I might still cringe.
