Weekend City Stroll

I'm just now catching up with my blogging. Bare with me as I find my rhythm again. To be honest, I really just want to sit in silence when I get the chance. Crazy right? Since I'm a little behind, I've decided to combine a couple strolls into one. So, here's our weekend update + adventures!

Friday was quite the blur. I rushed to work, Sebastian took William to school. After a birthday party celebration at the shoppe & making it home, we were very sad not to have Sebastian home with us. He, unfortunately, had to stay at work for the evening. So, the evening was a William + Mommy date.

At the beginning of the week, I promised William McDonald's as long as he did awesome at school. To my surprise, he actually remembered. As soon as I got home it was, "McDonald's!!!!" I, of course, had to take him! It was so worth it. His little face lit up when he saw his Happy Meal!

Saturday was the first Saturday I've had to leave the boys to go in to work. It was heartbreaking. I did, however, get to grab breakfast with them before telling them bye. William was secretly excited to have a dad day!  That snap below is what Sebastian sent me when I arrived to work. So cute. The party was, of course, a blast! It was a little crazy getting home due to the bomb that went off in Chelsea. Was very lucky to not be close to it but was saddened for the people involved. The walk home was actually quite enjoyable. It was the perfect weather and um can you believe that picture of the World Trade Center?

When I finally arrived home, we came to the realization that it was the very first time in a very long time we were all going to sleep together. The boys surprised me with a bottle of champagne. So we of course ALL had to celebrate. Yes, William also has a glass. He thinks it's the coolest thing ever to cheers + drink out a champagne glass. Can we say I'm a bad mom?

Sunday was the perfect day! We did breakfast and spent some time at the park. I already blogged about how I loved the trip to the park so I won't go into great detail about it. I do however LOVE living by Le District. The food is to die for. That coffee is my guilty please!

After playing for a good amount of time, we headed over to the Battery Park block party. The event was perfect timing for us. Considering, we are new here & it was the perfect chance to learn about new places in the neighborhood. Plus William had a great time in the bounce houses. My favorite spots were: Liberty Community Garden and the Green Ivy School booth. Did I mention there was music + food? So fun! Unfortunately, after Sebastian had to head into work. I however enjoyed the afternoon knowing I could take William into school on Monday because I was off work.

Monday's are usually a struggle. However, I've learned now to love them! I get to wake up, take William to school, and run errands. On the list for this Monday? Coffee, Chelsea Market, and some work on the computer. Knowing that I had the evening free with William, I planned a fun afternoon for the both of us. After school, I took William on an adventure to Brooklyn. I was so very curious to check out the Shop Up by Babyccino Kids.

It was of course absolutely adorable! Please just look at these photos. William had a blast checking out new toys, doing a craft, and trying some samples. I fell in love with a couple booths that will soon be featured in my blog.
